Khartoum has been decisive in my formation, my growing up years and still. I occasionally struggle with feelings of belonging and of rebellion. Conservatism and contradiction is a lived reality, every day, far away from the hustle and dynamism of the big city.
Khartoum has the power to absorb and reflect whatever theory and practice that's being thrust upon it. In the end, Khartoum will evolve barely to the best, and mostly for the worst: but it'll emerge fresh, ready for the next idea.
